Thank you so much for the gesture, @camera_mama / @merrakaiphotography! For this shot I would say light is key. Posing wasn’t that important, it’s pretty relaxed. The light is in the upper right corner, pointing towards the baby. You can achieve this look with a window as well, no need to have fancy studio equipment. Position the baby so the light is coming down baby‘s face and not shining up the nose if that makes sense. For newborn photos I find good light is the most important feature to make or break a picture.
